We are buying 85 shares of Abbott Laboratories at roughly $113.91 and selling 60 shares of Procter & Gamble at roughly $158.97. We're making a small swap to add to our newest position in the portfolio. The quarter showed a 4% increase in organic sales, thanks to the consumer staple company's ability to raise prices on its products while also improving volumes. This momentum is expected to continue in 2024, with management forecasting organic sales to grow 8% to 10%. The three major averages posted gains for the fourth week in row, lifted by strong quarterly earnings results for most of the Big Tech companies and a strong jobs report. We're selling 95 shares of GE Healthcare at roughly $74. Following Wednesday's trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 1,150 shares of GEHC, reducing its weighting to 2.75% from 2.97%. If hospitals have more of a wherewithal to invest in medical equipment, some of that will go to GE Healthcare. Philips orders have been down for six quarters in a row, but GE Healthcare hasn't seen that weakness yet. The stock market this year has been led by just a handful of the biggest and best tech companies. Just look at the S & P 500 market-cap weighted index, which is viewed as a barometer of the overall stock market. Compare that to the much smaller 3% year-to-date increase in the S & P 500 equal-weight index, which treats each company's stocks the same regardless of market value. It's hard to turn off the monitors and wait for your seven stocks to come back after a terrible year. On top of all that, how many experts really knew heading into 2023 that these were the seven names to back the truck up for?

We're exiting our position in Veralto (VLTO), selling 173 shares at roughly $69 each. Following Thursday's trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will no longer own a position in VLTO. Veralto , the water and packaging quality company, has some interesting long-term prospects as a standalone company that may be worth revisiting down the road. However, Veralto is currently experiencing headwinds due to weakness in China for water quality and lower demand for consumer packaged goods. More specifically, Veralto's water quality sales in China in the third quarter fell in the high teens on a percentage basis.
